Equality Maine is an organization made to protect and support LGBTQ+ people in the state of Maine. They focus on creating an environment that is safe for queer Mainers, and fostering an inclusive and intersectional movement through political action, community building, education, engagement and collaboration.
A part of this mission includes providing professional development and education for organizations, businesses, and schools. EqualityMaine also has programs like their Political Action Committee, which advocates for equality for LGBTQ+ members in local and state legislatures. You can get involved by joining events, donating, or becoming a member.
