MEA is a Maine-based organization founded in 1859 that offers support for any educators or employees involved in the Maine school system. MEA provides support and benefits for teachers, administrators, and other school employees, as well as creating a space where they can organize, discuss ideas, and advocate for themselves and their students. They also offer student programs to get involved for students who are studying or prepping for a career in education. MEA’s goal is to promote and maintain quality education and good conditions for schools, students, and teachers around Maine.
