MaineTransNet is the only non-profit organization in Maine that directly works to support and advocate for transgender individuals living within the state on both a legal and personal level. Some of this advocacy includes working to protect and implement laws and regulations regarding gender-affirming care and services, promote nondiscriminatory policies, and provide low-cost or no-cost clothing to individuals in need via their thrift store, Safe Combinations in Portland.
